HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported that two tanks of the Turkish military were destroyed by guerrillas on different dates.
HPG remarked in a written statement that the AKP state waging an all-out dirty war against the Kurdish leader, people and movement since 24th July 2015 has resorted to savage massacres in the face of the failure experienced by Turkish state forces from the popular resistance.
HPG continued, stressing that the AKP state made a vain effort to manipulate the truths with the aim of hiding the failure of Turkish forces and deceiving the society. HPG noted that a widespread mechanism of lies was being operated by the state to hide the consequences of the ongoing war.
HPG stated that guerrillas destroyed a tank during an action targeting the Oremar outpost in Hakkari's Yüksekova district on 14:00 on May 29. Four soldiers were killed and six others were wounded in this action by guerrillas.
One other tank of the Turkish army was targeted in another action by guerrillas that targeted the Turkish soldiers deployed around the Martyr Kendal hill on the border of Şırnak's Uludere district at 12:00 on June 13. Five soldiers in the tank were killed as the tank was destroyed completely.
HPG said they are releasing footage from both guerrilla actions in order to expose the true results of the war. "Images of the every guerrilla action we release is of importance in terms of revealing how the results of this war are hidden from the people, and how the society is deceived with fabricated news", added the statement.
