HPG Press Office released a statement reporting an action by guerrillas in Oremar (Dağlıca) area in Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district on January 1.

Accordingly, guerrillas hit the Turkish army soldiers that were deployed on Elişêr Hill in Oremar area at between 12:00 – 12:30 yesterday. The number of soldiers killed or wounded in the action couldn't be verified.

HPG statement continued, reporting the following attacks by the Turkish army in Hakkari countryside:

- Troops at Garê (Tekeli) Regiment in Şemzinan (Şemdinli) district bombed Karker Hill and surroundings from 23:00, January 1 until 01:00, January 2nd.

- Troops at Serê Sêve (Işıklı) outpost in Çelê (Çukurca) district shelled Cehennem Hill and surroundings at between 04.00 - 04.30 January 2, this morning.
