HPG/YJA Star guerrillas carried out actions in Çelê and Kerboran. While the number of dead and wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified, two containers and one emplacement were destroyed.
HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Centre released a statement providing detailed information regarding the actions by guerrillas and operations and attacks by the Turkish army.
ACTION IN ÇELE
Accordingly, on March 29, between 11.00- 12.00 hours, guerrillas carried out an operation against the soldiers positioned the Koordine hill, which is located on the border of Hakkari's Çele (Çukurca) district.
While guerrillas hit and destroyed 2 containers and 1 emplacement at close range, the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified. Turkish warplanes bombarded the Ertuş area during the action of guerrillas.
ACTION IN KERBORAN
In another action on March 28, guerrillas hit the soldiers gathered in front of the barracks in the Werzikê outpose in Kerboran (Dargeçit) district of Mardin. The number of soldiers killed or wounded in this action couldn't be clarified. Guerrillas also destroyed the Internet line between Ivana and Xelila villages of Kerboran.
OPERATIONS OF THE TURKISH ARMY CONTINUE
HPG reported that Turkish army launched an operation in Avkamasiya, Cifanê and Aketi areas of Şırnak on 21 March, and retreated the operation on the same day without yielding results.
On 28 March, the Turkish army launched an operation in Nevaner, Tıterê and Gundikremo areas and this operation was also retreated the same day without yielding results. HPG noted that the activity of Turkish forces in Gırê Çolya and Bilika areas continues.
TURKISH JETS SHELLED GUERRILLA ZONES
On 29 March, Turkish army warplanes bombarded the Kanireşê area in Xakurke area of Medya Defense Zones, South Kurdistan and bombarded the Mervanos hamlet in Avashin area at 17.00.
