HPG Press Office reported that Turkish army attacks and clashes continue in Çukurca area.

HPG said the followings in a statement it released on Thursday morning;

“The operation launched by Turkish army in Ertuş area in Hakkari's Çukurca district on August 30 continues with intensified attacks. While the Newal hill and surroundings of Ertuş Castle were hit with intensified mortar fire throughout the night, military units were dispatched to Martyr Newal Hill where heavy clashes took place. The same area was also hit by intensified bombardment of Turkish jets till 01:00 last night. Guerrillas effectively hit the military units moving towards Ertuş Castle. Clashes in this area continue and further details on the developments will be released once available.”
