HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office has released a statement providing information about Turkish military's ongoing bombardments on South and North Kurdistan, and results of clashes with Turkish troops in Mardin province. HPG-BIM also provided information regarding the Turkish military operation in Cudi and road control by guerrillas in Amed.

MILITARY OPERATION IN MARDİN

Accordingly, Turkish jets shelled the surroundings of Xelîla, Gizrê, Hedilê and İvan villages in Mardin's Kerboran district on March 2. Sikorsky type helicopters later airdropped soldiers into the area who later started an operation. Clashes erupted in the area where one lieutenant and 3 sergeants were killed.

HPG said 7 guerrillas also lost their lives here, adding that their ID details will be made public later.

ROAD CONTROL IN AMED

HPG-BIM provided the following details regarding the road control of guerrillas in Amed. Accordingly,

Guerrilla units blocked the Amed-Bingöl highway on the route of Kelê village of Amed's Lice district between 16.00 - 18.30 on March 3rd. Guerrillas performed ID checks, informed the people about the current process and burnt two cars working for the state.

OPERATIONS AND BOMBARDMENTS CONTINUE

HPG continued, providing the following details about the ongoing operations and bombardments of the Turkish military;

On March 2nd, Turkish troops started an operation in Girê Çolya and Hesena territory of Şırnak's Cudi area which were shelled by tanks and heavy artillery at random. The operation was retreated the same day inconclusively.

Eriş outpost at the border of Hakkari's Çukurca district shelled Xeregol hill in Zap region between 06.00 – 09.30 yesterday.

Eriş outpost shelled Êlanê village and Kanî Cinnetê area between 14.30 – 15.00 yesterday,

Eriş outpost shelled Martyr Munzur Hill, Kanî Cinnetê ve Güvenlik Hill between 19.30 – 20.30 yesterday,

Bilican outpost shelled Martyr Colomerg hill between 10.30 – 11.00 yesterday,

Mamreş outpost in Hakkari's Yüksekova district shelled Mergê territory of Avashin area between 15.30 – 16.00 yesterday,

Aruş outpost at the border of Şırnak's Uludere district shelled Marty Dilber hill in Metina area between 09.30 – 11.00 yesterday.
