HPG: Three soldiers killed in Çukurca

Three soldiers of the Turkish army were killed as result of actions carried out by HPG/ YJA Star guerrillas in Hakkari's Çukurca district.

HPG Press Office released a statement providing information regarding the most recent actions conducted by HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas in North Kurdistan.

Accordingly, guerrillas targeted the Koordine hill and the Banê hill, which are located on the border of Çukurca district of Hakkari at 22:00 on March 22. Guerrillas hit the soldiers on both locations with heavy weapons from two different directions.

The first strike of the action effectively hit and destroyed two positions on the hill with RPG-7 rocket launchers. The second line of action hit the containers and positions where the Turkish army soldiers were located. The number of dead or wounded soldiers left by the action could not be clarified.

On the other hand, guerrillas infiltrated on the Havan hill from two separate fronts at 21:00 on March 22nd. In this action, guerrillas effectively hit and destroyed the positions of Turkish soldiers with individual weapons and bombs.

“At least 2 soldiers were injured and 3 others were killed as a result of the action during which a guerrilla was martyred in the heroic fight”, said HPG and gave the following ID details of the fallen guerrilla:
