According to the People's Defence Forces (HPG), the Turkish army used banned bombs three times and chemical weapons seven times against guerrilla positions in Southern Kurdistan on Tuesday. A total of 48 helicopter attacks and dozens of attacks with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons targeted guerrilla areas in the Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).
Regarding the guerrilla resistance, the HPG press centre stated that guerrillas struck the Turkish invading forces with heavy weapons in the Saca area in the Zap region on 1 November.
CONTINUED ATTACKS BY THE TURKISH ARMY
The Şehîd Xursî positions in Saca and the Şehîd Felat positions in Sîda, both in the Zap region, were affected by the Turkish attacks with prohibited bombs. Also, in the region of Zap, chemical weapons were used seven times against the Şehîd Bahoz positions in the Çemço resistance area.
The helicopter attacks were directed against the Saca, Kurojahro, Girê Hekarî, Girê FM, Girê Cûdî and Girê Amêdî areas, while the artillery attacks targeted Çemço, Girê FM and Girê Cûdî.
In the resistance area of Karker, the Turkish army continues to try to demolish guerrilla positions with construction machinery.
