HPG: Turkish army plunders Kurdistan nature, we should not remain silent
HPG said that the Turkish state is targeting the nature of Kurdistan. The Turkish state cuts down the trees in Kurdistan and drops bombs in the areas it cannot reach.
The Press Centre of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement on the devastation of the Kurdistan nature.
“On May 30, between 21:00 and 01:00, helicopter activity was observed in the Small Cilo area in Zap. Sikorsky helicopters airdropped new troops on Martyr Serxwebûn Hill. Furthermore, the areas of Small Cilo, Şamke and Martyr Tufan were bombed by attack helicopters. Our forces hit these helicopters with heavy weapons. Following the intervention of our forces, the helicopters had to leave the area.
The Turkish army carried out attacks against Medya Defense Zones with howitzers, mortars, helicopters and fighter jets.
The details of the attacks are as follows:
On May 30, between 09:14 and 09:20, the Kafiya area in the Garê region was shelled by fighter jets.
On May 29, at 10:00 the Turkish state bombed the Hirorê village in the Kani Masi sub-district of Amadiya district with howitzers from the border outposts. As a result of the bombardment, a fire broke out in some parts of the Hirorê village.
On May 30, at 09:30, the Basya area of Avaşîn region was bombed 3 times with fighter jets. The same area was also bombarded with howitzers and mortars fired from border outposts between 17:30 and 19:30. A fire broke out in the field as a result of these bombardments.
On May 30, between 21:00 and 22:00, Turkish helicopters airdropped new troops in the Mamreşo and Mervanos areas of the Avaşîn region.
On May 30, at 19:30, the Çemço and Sîda areas in the Zap region were bombed with howitzers fired from the border police stations. Fire started as a result of these bombardments continues to rage.
On May 30, at 09:30, the Kurojehro area in Zap, located in the Sheladize sub-district of the Amadiya district, was bombed by fighter jets.
On May 30, at 07:00, the Small Cilo area of the Zap region was bombed twice by fighter jets.
In the morning of May 31, the Small Cilo area of the Zap region was bombed twice by fighter jets.
We did not have any loss during these attacks.
NATURE OF KURDISTAN IS TARGETED
The colonial Turkish state once again displays its barbarian character by cutting down trees in Kurdistan.
Moreover, it deliberately bombs the lands, forests and gardens of the villages belonging to our people in South Kurdistan causing material damage. The patriotic Kurdish people and institutions should not remain silent against this barbarian policy of the Turkish state.”
