HPG: Turkish helicopter damaged in Xakurke

The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information about the ongoing Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Initiative of guerrilla forces against the Turkish army’s invasion operation in Xakurke region of Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
According to the statement, guerrillas hit the Turkish attack helicopters operating in Şêxzade area at 20:30 on September 3rd.

HPG stated that in the wake of the action, Turkish fighter jets bombed the area at between 00:30 and 01:30 on September 4th. Two guerrilla fighters were martyred in these bombardments, said HPG and added that their ID details will be announced to the public later on.
