People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported in a written statement that 2 Turkish soldiers were killed in an action by guerrillas in Oremar region of Hakkari's Yüksekova district.

According to the HPG statement, guerrillas conducted an action against the Turkish troops deployed around Martyr Zerdeşt and Martyr Rahime hills in Oremar region between 15.00 – 15.30 yesterday, as a result of which 2 soldiers were killed.

HPG-BIM on the other hand provided the following details regarding the attacks carried out by Turkish forces against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory;

Troops at Şıvan outpost near Heftanin border shelled Mêrgeşîşê area between 20.30 – 21.00 yesterday.

In the meantime, Turkish aircraft performed reconnaissance flights over;

- Zap region between 17.00 - 00.00 yesterday,

- Garê area between 22.00 – 23.00 yesterday,

- Xakurkê area between 18:00 yesterday and 03:00 today,

- Heftanin area between 02.00 – 06.00 today.
