The hunger strike resistance carried out by HDP member Nasır Yağız in Hewlêr has reached day 155.

HDP Hewlêr representative Nasır Yağız has reached day 155 of his hunger strike demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan. Yağız has joined HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven in her resistance. 

Together with the hunger strike by the HDP Hewlêr representative, there are solidarity hunger strikes going on in South Kurdistan. In particular the hunger strike in Sulaymaniyah has been taken over by the 66rd group of activists and has now reached day 132.

Engineer Herêm Mehmud, who started an indefinite hunger strike in Kelar on 24 February, left 58 days of fast behind, while the resistance of Guizbax Celal, member of the Germiyan Regional Assembly of the Azadi Movement, was on the 38th day of hunger strike.
