The hunger strike launched in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Hewler representation office protesting the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan continues on day 95. The 48th group has taken over the hunger strike.

HDP member Nasir Yagiz is on an indefinite non-alternating hunger strike on his own, and on the 95th day of his hunger strike, his health continues to deteriorate.

HDP Hewler Representative Muzeyen Gunes said: “Yagiz gets a little worse every day. He now has trouble speaking and sleeping.”

Gunes added: “All political parties and all groups involved, as well as international organizations, should pressure the Turkish state to end the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo.”
