ICC to process the REPAK application on war crimes in North Kurdistan

The International Criminal Court stated that REPAK Kurdish Women’s Relations Office application for action against the war crimes committed in North Kurdistan will be reviewed processed.

The International Criminal Court has responded to Hewler-based REPAK Kurdish Women’s Relations Office (Navenda Pêwendiyan a Jinên Kurd) on their appeal for action against the war crimes committed in North Kurdistan. ICC stated that the application will be reviewed and processed.

Last month, REPAK sent a letter to Judge Fernández de Gurmendi, ICC President for 2015-2018, calling for action against the war crimes the Turkish state and AKP government perpetrates in te Kurdish region.

An official answer by the International Criminal Court says the REPAK's letter has been received by the ICC which will thus review and process the application before submitting a decision to the REPAK side together with its justification. The Court noted that this process wouldn't mean initiation of an investigation into the reports.
