Police raided a house in Süphan neighborhood of Van’s Edremit district at night and executed one man and one woman. A man named Sait Akbaş was detained after the incident.

Witnesses to the execution said the police entered the house without any warnings and started shooting. A witness who wishes to remain anonymous said: “They entered the house screaming, cursing and with nationalist anthems blasting from the armored vehicles. They started shooting without any warning.”

The two people who were executed are in the Van Research Hospital morgue.
