Increased military activity in Silopi
Reports are coming through that a large military dispatch has started in yesterday evening hours to the border gate in Silopi. Soldiers have been positioned in three schools in the district.
The Turkish army’s military dispatching towards Southern Kurdistan over Silopi has continued for days. Yesterday evening there was a large military dispatch from Silopi again. The military dispatch is waiting by the International Petroleum Company (TPIC) building 3 km to the Habur border gate. The military dispatch is expected to be transferred to Southern Kurdistan through Habur border gate like the previous dispatches.
SOLDIERS POSITIONED IN SCHOOLS
Along with the military dispatching, soldiers have been positioned in at least three schools in Silopi. These are Sevgi, 23 Nisan and Cumhuriyet Middle Schools.
It is significant that the military dispatching picked up speed before Nechirvan Barzani’s visit to Turkey today.
