As state forces' genocidal attacks continue in Şırnak for 40 days, heavy clashes are taking place between state forces and YPS / YPS-JIN in several neighborhoods.

The city is being targeted by uninterrupted bombardment from 4 sides; Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Brigade Command, 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command, Gümüştepe outpost and the area of village guards' houses.

Alongside the ongoing bombardment, armored vehicles deployed around neighborhoods are targeting the areas of self-rule with heavy weaponry for 8 hours now. While the shelling left many houses on fire in İsmetpaşa, Gazipaşa, Yeni and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods, fire brigades are not allowed to extinguish the fire that has now covered the whole city.

State forces have reportedly set fire to many workplaces in mainly İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods.

In the meantime, heavy clashes are taking place around İsmetpaşa, Yeni and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods for 8 uninterrupted hours as Civil Defense Units YPS / YPS-JIN are retaliating against the state forces trying to enter the neighborhoods. Many ambulances have been dispatched to the areas of clashes.

The city is also witnessing an intense activity of Turkish UAVs and helicopters taking off from 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command.

Both the bombardment and clashes across the city continue.
