Intensified attacks by state forces in Şırnak under curfew

Artillery shooting towards the city started following the declaration of a curfew in the Şırnak city center. With tanks stationed at Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Outpost to the north of the city and 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division to the east, the army has started its attacks on neighborhoods with the self-government resistance. The attacks concentrate mainly on Gazipaşa and Yeşilyurt neighborhoods.

Rural area surrounding the city can be seen under artillery fire from tanks simultaneously.

While heavy weaponry like artillery and tanks are used in attacks outside the city, armored vehicles stationed in state institutions attack with grenade throwers the city center.

JÖH (Gendarmerie Special Operations) and PÖH (Police Special Operations) have been stationed in higher buildings in Şırnak where genocidal attacks continue.

On the first day of the state of siege in Şırnak city center, state forces have stationed police and army special operation teams in the higher buildings surrounding the neighborhoods where self-rule resistance continues.

The state forces have entered many houses by breaking down their doors and turned them into headquarters.
