The Ezidi Democracy and Freedom Party (PADÊ) continues to be busy with the campaign work for the Iraqi general elections to be held on May 12th.
As part of preparations for the Iraqi general elections to be held on May 12th, the Ezidi Democracy and Freedom Party (PADÊ) candidates held a public meeting in Shengal with the participation of large numbers of people.
Following a minute’s silence, the first speech was held by Shengal Democratic Autonomous Assembly Co-president Hisen Heci who called on the Ezidi society to vote for PADÊ deputy candidates.
“We ask our people to determine their future with their votes. They should vote for those who will serve for them,” Heci said.
PADÊ deputy candidates Xwedêda Murad and Semir Derwêş and PADÊ executive Mirad Xalti put emphasis on the importance of elections in their speeches.
The meeting ended with Kurdish traditional dance halay, after which PADÊ members toured the town with a convoy.
