'Iraqi Prime Minister asked to investigate Turkish use of chemical weapons,' says MP

Iraqi parliamentarian Soran Omer shared a document showing that the Iraqi prime minister requested to investigate claims that the Turkish army used chemical weapons in South Kurdistan.

According to Rojnews, Iraqi parliamentarian Soran Omer published documents regarding the allegations of chemical weapons used by the invading Turkish state in the Kurdistan Region.

Soran Omer said in his documents that chemical weapons experts visited the Kurdistan Region and added that the KDP prevented them from conducting an investigation.

Soran Omer drew attention to how chemical weapons are used against guerrillas and said that two months ago, he formally requested the Iraqi Prime Minister to establish a commission to investigate chemical weapons.

Soran Omer stated that after the reports of two German and Swiss experts, the Iraqi Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the use of chemical weapons.
