The operation launched against ISIS under the lead of YBŞ-YJŞ and the Iraqi army on July 11, continues in the village of Solax.
Today’s operation, started in Solax at 11:30 local time, is the 5th one launched against ISIS gangs and their cells in the region recently. The operation is reported to be a continuation of the previous operations started against the mercenaries.
Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ), Shengal Women’s Units (YJŞ), Nusrel Mubin Ewel and Nusrel Mubîn Tinên, Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi forces had initiated an operation against ISIS gangs in Salahaddin, Anbar, Mosul and Iraqi-Syrian border on July 11-26.
During the joint campaign, a number of ISIS terrorists have been killed and many others wounded, while a large quantity of ammunition and supplies belonging to the mercenaries has been seized.
ISIS gangs murdered Yazidi civilians Hûsên Etêş and Hecî Hesen in Shengal on July 24, after which YBŞ-YJŞ, Iraqi army, Hashd al-Shaabi and other forces started an operation in the territory of Golat village, killing 2 terrorists.
On July 25, YBŞ-YJŞ forces launched another operation in the villages of Neînê, Golat and Xana Şahwaniyê. During the operation, the region was taken under control and large quantities of military equipment, shelters and supplies of the gangs were confiscated.
