Kakai Kurds condemn the KDP attack on Shengal

Kakai Kurds condemned the attack on Êzidîs in Shengal and said that the perpetrators of this attack could not be called peshmergas.

Kakai Kurds spoke to ANF and stressed that: “All Kurdish forces should unite and lead a national struggle. The war in Shengal serves the Turkish state and hurts Kurds' national unity.”

Kemal Kerim Faris: Kurds must put an end to internal fighting. We do not want such a war. What is needed is national unity to achieve our goal in Kurdistan. This is the right thing to do.

Anyone that fights against a Kurd cannot be peshmerga. The peshmergas and guerrillas should fight against the enemy together. This war is definitely serving the interest of the enemies of Kurds. Therefore, the war in Shengal should end.

Ahmet Ebubekir: As a PUK peshmerga, I do not accept the attack on Shengal by any means. We are for internal peace and unity. Jalal Talabani says that he is against iternal fighting and that Kurds should unite. As peshmergas, we agree with him.

Mahir Cemal: We strongly condemn those that carried out the attack on Shengal. We are definitely against this battle. Those that carried out the attack are definitely serving the fascist Turkish state. We do not want such attacks to be repeated. What Kurds should do is to join forces and fight for their freedom.

Selam Kakai: When the attack on Êzidîs took place, guerrillas immediately defended them. As a Kakai Kurd, I find that defense very meaningful and valuable. Let me say that in the first place.

I view the recent attacks on Shengal by so-called peshmergas not as an internal fighting but as a suicide. We do not accept fighting among Kurds. Kurds should no longer fight one another under the influence of external powers. Officials from the Kurdistan region and guerrillas should resolve their problems through dialogue. The situation in the region is tense and this gives us Kurds an opportunity. We should take advantage of this opportunity and reach our goals in Kurdistan.

Peshmergas, guerrillas and all other Kurds should use their guns against the enemy. Their goal should be to defend the Kurds. The Turkish state carried out massacres in North Kurdistan last year. With this reality in view, there is no excuse for Kurds to fight against one another.
