Kalkan: AKP is struggling, traitors must be pushed out of Kurdistan

PKK Executive Council Member Duran Kalkan stressed that the Turkish state is experiencing a serious power loss, and thus resorted to old counter-guerilla units and village guards.

PKK Executive Council Member Duran Kalkan answered journalist Doğan Çetin’s questions in the 'United Agenda' program on Med Nuçe TV.

Kalkan pointed out the Turkish Prime Minister Yıldırım’s package that imposes surrender in Amed and said: “We saw many governments that went to Amed and declared packages. But they all crumbled under their own packages and drowned.” Kalkan said, “Those who spy for the AKP and collaborate with them must not be able to set foot on Amed streets, on cities and streets of Kurdistan,” and warned and issued a call for village guards. Kalkan asked that AKP not be allowed to disrupt social fraternity among Kurds and stressed that the Turkish state is experiencing a serious power loss, and thus resorted to old counter-guerilla units and village guards.

“THE PRIME MINISTER HAS GONE MAD”

Kalkan made the following analyses on Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım’s Amed visit, what the so-called package he declared meant, and the discussions on village guards being conscripted to the army:

"Conscripting village guards, setting out dozens of collaborators and spies, developing a system of surveillance and building a wall all along Kurdistan, like the Great Wall of China or the Berlin Wall, to try to divide Northern Kurdistan and Rojava Kurdistan came out of Binali Yıldırım’s visit to Amed and the package he declared. They declared they will spend great amounts of money on this. They will build more prisons. Erdoğan had also said they would ‘do better than September 12 did’ before. So they will increase the number of prisons.

Binali Yıldırım has shown how much of an enemy he is to the Kurds and to the people, with a foaming mouth. He insults Kurds, and says there will be no solution, they will hit so-and-so hard, they will destroy in such-and-such way. I don’t want to stoop to such a level, there should be a certain etiquette and tone in discussions. But he’s gone mad. Let’s put those indulgent greetings aside, let’s look at Binali Yıldırım himself, to his face and see his situation. His situation looks like a crazed person. Why is he so mad? Why is he so troubled when Kurds resist and not disappear?

'KURDS’ RESISTANCE ANGERS THEM'

The summary of Binali Yıldırım’s comments is, Kurds can eat if they are slaves to the AKP government. What has been imposed upon the Kurdish people’s children in Amed dungeons in 1981-82 is being imposed upon the whole society today by the AKP government. They say they are declaring a package, but the essence of the package they announce is this. They are trying to buy off the society, to take them prisoner. They say, ‘Give up everything, continue your life as just a physical being that eats and sleeps, but doesn’t hear or think, be happy or angry, we will let you live as non-humans and non-societies.’ Such is the level of their savagery and genocidal practices. And they are angered when Kurds resist this. The same person said ‘either victory or death’ in the past. So, ‘Turkishness’ builds its victory over massacring Kurds?

When Kurds demand freedom and resist, they see it as death for themselves. He might die, but that death will have nothing to do with the Turkish people or nation. The ones who really need to realize this fact are the writers, intellectuals, artists and journalists of Turkey. But most of them are bought and paid for. They have surrendered to this fascist system and act as the mouthpieces of fascism. This way, the peoples of Turkey are misinformed, they are brainwashed. They are turned anti-Kurdish. They truly create murderers out of babies.

'THEY WILL CRUMBLE BENEATH THEIR PACKAGES AND DROWN'

There was nothing new in Binali Yıldırım's visit to Amed. We have experienced the years of 80's and 90's as well, and saw many governments that went to Amed and declared packages. However, all of these have crumbled beneath the packages they declared. AKP's is a repetition of these. It is a belated repetition or a flutter. They have committed this much atrocity and massacre against the Kurdish society and when society opposes them, they react and ask 'why?'.

'COLLABORATORS MUSTN'T SET FOOT ON KURDISTAN'

Kurds should actually do more to them. They should know that those collaborating with AKP are the savagest traitors in history, and push them out.

Those involved in agency and cooperation with AKP must not set foot on the streets of Amed, on cities and streets of Kurdistan. As we said before, everyone should watch their steps. Those who become prosperous on the basis of AKP atrocity shouldn't blame others if they fall tomorrow.

'VILLAGE GUARDS SHOULD TAKE SIDES WITH THE PEOPLE'

Village guards should also be careful in this regard. AKP is playing badly and it wants to make an institution created by 12 September fascist military coup over and hang it over the the society's head. This is making the people massacre one other. Village guards shouldn't be deceived on this matter. As the Kurdish movement and people, we have developed a quite sensitive and conscious approach and policy on this subject during the past years. This has been very effective and a Kurdish unity has been created. The society has achieved the realization of mutual support and fraternity. AKP wants to spoil this now, and buy it with money. They are threatening the people with losing their future in the event that they stand against the government.

If the military was powerful enough, they would not call the old counter-guerrillas for duty now, nor resort to transform village guards into soldiers. They are weak and cannot protect themselves even, which is why they tel the village guards to 'come, protect us'. They want village guards for their own security.

On the other hand, they want to buy people with money. Nobody should tend to massacre their own brothers, sisters and society for money. This would be the heaviest crime in history. Those engaged in this crime will not be able to look at the face of the society in the future, and they will be damned by the history and society. If village guards adopt a stance against this game, and abandon the stance they have manifested so far, the Kurdish society will gain freedom quicker.

Everyone should take a right stance. Village guards should stand against these threats and promises of the AKP, and take sides with the people. Otherwise, they will lose themselves. Danger exists for them as well. Nobody should be an instrument to this game. They should stop receiving money for shedding the blood of Kurdish youths, and take refugee by the people. This is both a warning and a call I want to make on this basis."
