KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement regarding the AKP terror in the territory of North Kurdistan.
Drawing attention to the savagery perpetrated against the bodies of Kurdish youths, KCK called upon the Kurdish people to enhance the resistance, and the democracy forces to resist together with the Kurdish people.
The statement by KCK recalled that the AKP government which fell after the elections still conducted a fascist onslaught against the Kurdish people that brought it down on June 7.
'AKP WAGES A TOTAL WAR AGAINST THE KURDISH PEOPLE'
Pointing to the state terror against Kurdish population, KCK said; "The AKP wants to keep itself in power by murdering civilians and arresting dozens of politicians, unionists and NGO members on daily basis. This manifests the fact that the fallen AKP government is waging a total war against the Kurdish people. In the current state of affairs, Turkish forces resort to methods more planned, more devious and more daring than those implemented during the 90's. Attacks by tanks and artillery fires on streets and neighborhoods are a blatant proof of this reality."
'AKP ATTACK KURDS TO MAINTAIN ITS HEGEMONY'
KCK stressed that AKP conducted these attacks with an aim to remove the obstacles to its hegemonic and fascist ruling and to break the will of the Kurdish people and democracy forces, in the same way pursued by all fascist governments that could never tolerate democratic forces nor the democratic will and organization of peoples. KCK also underlined that struggle and resistance was the only way to defeat such fascist governments that could not possibly be expected to abandon these practices.
Remarking that advancement of democracy and realization of freedoms in Turkey could be ensured only by a joint struggle of all peoples in Turkey, KCK said the Kurdish people have waged a struggle for this purpose for dozens of years now, receiving an obviously stronger support from Turkey's peoples in recent years, but called attention to the essentiality of enhancing this struggle further in order to ensure democratization and solution of all problems across the country.
'TORTURE ON BİRLİK'S BODY IS A MATTER OF HONOUR FOR EVERYONE'
Regarding the savage torture perpetrated on Hacı Birlik's dead body in Şırnak, KCK said it was a matter of honour and conscience for all the peoples of Turkey that a youth is dragged by a police vehicle through streets , that at least several Kurdish civilians are murdered on streets in the Kurdish region and that their cities and towns are shelled with tanks and artillery every day.
"It is not possible for Turkey's peoples, intellectuals, artists and authors to sleep in peace while these attacks in Kurdistan continue. In this regard, none of these circles should remain silent on the attacks, deaths and arrests in Kurdistan, and they all should enhance the struggle together with the Kurdish people against the AKP fascism. The attacks in the Kurdish region target not a particular area but all the Kurdish people."
'WE ARE CLOSER THAN EVER TO FREEDOM'
Recalling that the Turkish state made the decision of waging a total attack against Kurds at the National Security Council meeting on 30 October 2014, KCK said the goal of this decision was to break the organized will of the Kurdish people and to continue with the attacks until this will is eliminated completely.
KCK underlined that attainment of freedom and democracy was now closer than ever as the Kurdish people went through a period that witnessed the strongest times of their organization and struggle. The statement also pointed out that this power of the Kurdish freedom struggle was also appreciated by the entire world today and regarded as the most dynamic, most effective and democratic force of the Middle East. "Once we mobilize this power, it will not be possible for any fascist and reactionary force to stand against it", KCK noted.
KCK called upon all the Kurdish people, youths and women to stand up everywhere against the attacks targeting their will for self-rule.
