KCK calls upon Kurdish people to rise up against massacres

KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency called upon the Kurdish people to turn everywhere into an area of uprising and resistance, mainly in the provinces of Amed, Wan, Batman and Turkish metropolitan areas.

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement regarding the Cizre massacre in which dozens of Kurds, most of whom were injured, were killed by Turkish state forces.

The KCK statement said; “The fact that no news has been received from the trapped people for a while, and that military and police entered and attacked the houses where they had sheltered, reveals that unarmed and civilian people with wounds and those near them were all massacred. The official state television reported a breaking news that 60 people were killed in Cizre, but they later drew back this report upon an instruction by the government in order to avert reactions by the Kurdish people.”

KCK stressed that all Kurdish people should rise up everywhere, and bring the AKP government to account, adding; “It is time to rise up and fulfill our responsibility for the martyrs. The AKP government will commit more massacres unless our people display their reaction against this mass murder.”
