KCK Executive Council Co-presidency issued a written statement on the anniversary of January 9 Paris massacre and emphasized that the genocidal and colonialist Turkish state and AKP government were responsible for the assassination of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez. KCK commemorated the 3 slain Kurdish women, and said that the massacre was targeting the passion for freedom embodied in Cansız, Doğan and Şaylemez.
‘THE ATTACK TARGETED WOMEN’S FREEDOM STRUGGLE’
In its statement, KCK said ‘The attack against comrade Sakine targeted the PKK and the freedom struggle of the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Kurdish women. Genocidal colonialists see victory in the death of the PKK and women’s freedom struggle, and were terrified by their level of resistance. This attack exposes what the genocidal and colonialist Turkish state is afraid of the most. The support for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla both in Europe and in our country shows that the PKK and its women’s freedom struggle cannot be destroyed. These martyrdoms are the proof of the immortality of the PKK and women’s freedom struggle.
‘THE COLONIALIST TURKISH STATE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTACK’
KCK noted that the struggle for freedom women and all Kurdish people has been more determined after the martyrdom of Sakine, Fidan and Leyla, and genocidal colonialism’s increasing attacks only enhance the resistance and struggle of the freedom movement. KCK underlined that the murderer of the three revolutionaries died mysteriously, which made it impossible to expose and bring to account the perpetrators of Paris massacre in front of the entire world. However, KCK noted that it is well aware of the perpetrators, who are nobody but the genocidal and colonialist Turkish state and the AKP government. Lastly, KCK promised that they will bring the perpetrators to justice through the liberation of Kurdistan and the democratization of Turkey and the Middle East.
