According to local sources and a latest report by a KNN correspondent on the ground, KDP's peshmerga forces have increased reinforcements at the border of the Balakatî region.
25 more peshmergas affiliated to the Helgut force of the KDP have been deployed on Mame Rut hill in the skirts of the Mount Qandil. In addition, around 50 peshmergas have been dispatched to the Koliter hill at visibility distance from Balakatî.
While no details regarding the increasing military activity can be obtained from the region, press members are obstructed by KDP forces from doing their job in this territory.
