KDP deports another Kurdish man from Hewlêr

In Hewlêr, public order forces affiliated with the KDP deported a man named Güngör Alp who came from North Kurdistan.

Hewlêr public order forces forcibly expelled Güngör Alp, a man living in Hewler, who immigrated to South Kurdistan due to the political lawsuits brought against him in North Kurdistan and is also a HDP member, from Hewlêr on 10 December.

Güngör Alp, who could not return to his hometown Kars in North Kurdistan due to the lawsuits filed against him, lived away from his family in Hewlêr for 9 years. Alp said that the Hewlêr authorities did not grant him a residence permit and that he was forcibly removed from the city on the pretext that he did not have a residence.

Alp stated that he was forcibly removed by the security forces and the headman on 10 December and that after he arrived in Sulaymaniyah, he called the United Nations Office to arrange a meeting soon.

Güngör Alp will hold a press release today in Sulaymaniyah Dayîk Park.

Hewlêr security forces had also deported the patriotic HDP member Hasan Kaçar from North Kurdistan with his family on 23 November.
