Kongra Star Assembly spoke out against the occupation of the Turkish state in Southern Kurdistan and the co-operation of the KDP.
The women’s umbrella organization in North-East Syria, Kongra Star, expressed its reaction against the Turkish occupation campaign in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) in cooperation with the KDP, the ruling party of the Barzanis in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The statement statement read by Kongra Star Executive member Îbdîsam Hisên said that: “We will never remain silent against your policies that divide and murder peoples and women, we will fight against it.”
The statement emphasised that the relations between the Turkish state and the KDP were to the detriment of the Kurdish people: “Weakened by the success of the Kurdish people in Northern Kurdistan, Erdoğan’s fascism turned to policies of re-occupation and trustee regime in Kurdistan.”
Kongra Star stated that the KDP harms the Kurdish people's freedom movement by supporting the invading Turkish state.
Remarking that the Turkish state has sent hundreds of ISIS members to the Kurdistan region to fight against the freedom guerrillas in the mountains, the statement said: “There are 3 thousand panzers, 4 thousand Turkish troops and more than 100 bases of the Turkish state in South Kurdistan. They subject the people of South Kurdistan to ID check and massacre patriots.”
The statement emphasised that the Barzani family is engaged in betrayal and does not consider the interests of the Kurdish people. “The Turkish state is trying to occupy the territory of Southern Kurdistan in cooperation with the Barzani family. As the Kurdish people, we need to strongly expose this dirty policy.”
Kongra Star called for action against the policies of the Turkish state and the KDP and said: “We appeal to the Barzani family; you have never protected the interests of Kurds and Kurdistan, and you do not protect them today. You are in a historical betrayal. Stop this policy immediately. As Kongra Star, we will never remain silent against policies that divide and murder peoples and women, and we will fight against it."
