On Saturday, Dec 16, 2017, Ilam security forces entered the home of a Kurdish poet called Hossein Bagheri (known as Jakan Baran) and arrested him while confiscating a number of Bagheri’s personal belongings, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.
“This poet was interrogated for three days at the Ilam Intelligence Detention Centre regarding the publication of a number of statements attributed to the Kurdish parties in the telegram channels. He was released after three days due to the lack of sufficient evidence and the charges against him were dropped,” KHRN added.
