Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê delivered 100 thousand Euros of financial aid to the families in need in the Yazidi town of Shengal in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê delivered 100 thousand Euros of financial aid to 400 families in Shengal. The People's Assembly handed the financial aid to families in the Yazidi town in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

In a statement on Tuesday, the Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê said: “Since the Yazidi massacre in 2014, the people of Shengal have always advocated a peaceful life. Unfortunately, Shengal still bears the traces of war and destruction. Our people in Shengal and its vicinity live under difficult conditions due to the attacks of the Turkish state. Our organization Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê has never left the people of Shengal alone. A few days ago, 100 thousand Euros of financial aid was delivered to our people in Shengal, Khanasor, Digûrê, Serdeşt, Sînûn, Zûreve, Borîk, Gir Zerîk, Duhle, Gubel, Koke and Til Qasbê. The financial aid was handed out to 400 families by the People's Assembly.”
