Young people from South Kurdistan will march from Ranya to Zînê Wertê in the Qandil region on 16 May to demonstrate for Kurdish unity.
The "Youth Initiative of South Kurdistan" calls for participation in a demonstration for Kurdish unity on 16 May. The march is set to take place from Ranya University to Zînê Wertê in the Qandil region. The appeal says: "We won't let the Turkish occupying state reach its goal and occupy South Kurdistan."
The initiative points out that an internal Kurdish crisis has arisen with the deployment of peshmerga units in Zînê Wertê on April 13: "From the statements made by residents of the region afterwards, it is clear that the peshmerga movements of the KDP in Zînê Wertê are taking place within the framework of an occupation plan of the Turkish state that covers all of South Kurdistan from Mosul to Kirkuk. In this context, it also turned out that members of the Turkish intelligence service MIT are among the peshmerga units and disguise themselves with peshmerga clothes. The Turkish state is counting on the cooperation with the KDP in continuing its annihilation policy. This collaboration is a blow to Kurdish unity and the liberation struggle of Kurdistan.”
