Trump: Russia lost interest in Syria

New US President Donald Trump, in a statement on the X platform, said: "Assad is gone. He fled his country. His protector, Russia under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, is no longer interested in protecting him."

Trump added: "Russia and Iran are currently in a weak position; one because of Ukraine and the bad economy, the other because of Israel and Israel's war success." Referring to Russian President Putin, Trump wrote: "I know Vladimir well, it's time to take action. China can help. The world is waiting."
