KNK South Kurdistan Representative Deniz Cevdet Bülbün was murdered in the KNK building on 18 September. Although almost a month has passed since the killing, security forces affiliated with KDP have not made any statement.

Deniz Bülbün's family called for the arrest of Deniz Bülbün's killers in a press conference held at the KNK Hewlêr building.

Deniz Bülbün's father, Cevdet Bülbün, said: "24 days have passed since our son was murdered. So far, no one has been detained. Security forces made no statement. We want our son's murderers to be caught."

Stating that Deniz was a Kurdish teacher who had no problems with anyone, Bülbün said: "We are honored that our son fell a martyr for the sake of the Kurdish struggle."

Stating that they have been in Hewlêr for a few days to demand that the murderers be found, Bülbün said: "We submitted petitions of complaint to the public service forces and the court and asked for the murderers to be caught. We want the world and the Kurdish people to know who killed our son."
