In Shengal, another mass grave has been discovered with the remains of victims of the terrorist militia Islamic State. At least one other mass grave is suspected near the site.

According to the South Kurdistan-based news agency RojNews, the bones of probably eight Yazidi victims of ISIS tyranny were discovered in the mass grave in the village of Til Ezer (Al-Qahtaniyya) in the southwest of Shengal.

Initial investigations indicate a mass execution, as cartridge cases were found. The victims are guessed to be residents of the village of Til Ezer who did not make it to the mountains when ISIS attacked the region on 3 August 2014. The search for more mass graves continues.
