Makhmur town located within the boundaries of Mosul province is witnessing increased military activity for the past two days and peshmerga forces have started to dispatch reinforcements to Dibaka region.

On the other hand, the Iraqi army is also dispatching forces to the region, which continued till late night hours yesterday.

Reports suggest that an armed confrontation is only a matter of time. 

In the meantime, talks between Hewler and Baghdad governments focused on Gwer, Makhmur and Dibekan, continue, reports say.
