Municipality of Mardin's Savur district usurped
The government of Turkey has usurped yet another municipality held by the Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) in North Kurdistan.
Trustee has been appointed to the municipality of Mardin's Savur (Stewre) district, the co-mayor of which, Mehmet Aydın Alökmen had been detained on February 25.
Police forces came to the municipality this morning and informed that district governor İdris Koç has been appointed trustee to the municipality.
On February 25, police raided the municipality after the detention of the co-mayor, and hanged a huge Turkish flag on the building during the raid.
