The personnel of the municipality of Mariwan city in Rojhilat gathered for the second consecutive day in protest of their delayed salaries in front of the municipality building.
The salary of a number of workers in the municipality of Mariwan is delayed for up to 21 months. A group also says that salaries and overtime of the two past years have yet to be paid.
According to the workers, in 2018, they have been paid a total of 4 million tomans, which is not enough for only a month due to the high prices and high inflation in Iran.
Yesterday the workers wrote letters to the Governor of Sine (Sanandaj) province to help with their demands.
Meanwhile, the mayor and the city council of Mariwan ignored the workers, and there are rumors that the city council has insulted the workers which led to anger and discontent among the protesters.
