HDP member Nasır Yağız has been on hunger strike for 125 days in Hewler demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Yağız has issued a written message which reads as follows: "As we all know very well, the prison is the leading field of resistance. With this consciousness, the comrades who carried out sacrifice actions illuminate the path to us and our people as a source of uninterrupted light to the darkness imposed by the fascist dictatorship.
These sacrifice actions are tearing apart isolation, which is a shame of mankind.
The brave sons and daughters of the Kurdish people, who are constantly acting with a spirit of resistance, are writing the golden pages of our history of sacrifice with their blood. We stand by them and we are grateful to them.
These sacrifice actions also include a call for spiritual cleansing and conscience to the Kurdish people.
How much longer are we to remain silent in front of these martyrs? We should now be able to say ‘Edî Besê’ [‘Enough’]. We must stop every second of life with a spirit of total mobilization! Meaning, we must vitalize this resistance!
The resistance fire that creates this free life is a fire and a defiant rebellion that must be spread, and it is a challenge, a race of resistance that never fades before reaching its goal.”
