Nasir Yagiz: Whatever the end may be, I will continue

Nasir Yagiz is experiencing heart arrhythmia on the 80th day of his indefinite non-alternating hunger strike in Hewler. Yagiz said, “Whatever the end may be, I am determined to continue my protest. We will prevail and break the isolation.”

Nasir Yagiz continues his hunger strike in the Hewler (Erbil) HDP Representation Office. He started the hunger strike 13 days after HDP MP Leyla Guven’s hunger strike to break the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Yagiz is experiencing heart arrhythmia on the 80th day of his hunger strike. His doctors say he must stay under observation.

Yagiz had been hospitalized on February 1 when his health deteriorated. He refused treatment and continued his hunger strike.

Nasir Yagiz issued a statement after his latest checkup and said, “Whatever the end may be, I am determined to continue my protest. We will prevail and break the isolation.”
