Representatives from Kurdish political parties, NGOs, and religious organizations gathered together in a workshop to discuss achieving national unity among Kurds, in Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan. All Kurdish political parties from Eastern and Southern Kurdistan except Kurdistan Democratic Party attended the workshop.

Kurdistan National Congress kicked off a series of workshops on national unity after the July 2017 meeting in Sulaymaniyah. Three workshops were held in Rojava, Eastern Kurdistan and Europe.

The workshops aim to negotiate the conditions for a national unity conference among Kurds.

The workshop will continue for two days.
