Ahmet Bilen, DBP administrator for Van's Edremit district, was detained alongside two other people as a result of house raids 10 days ago. The two people have been jailed but lack of news from Bilen raises concerns over his well being.

Turkish authorities have yet to answer the applications filed by Bilen's family and lawyers to find out what has happened to him.

DBP Edremit district co-chair Medeni Özer said Bilen and two other detainees had been taken to court after detention, and the other two people were later arrested while Bilen was taken back to police station.
