As Turkish military and police forces have yet not been able to enter the areas of self-rule despite resorting to all means possible, the town was targeted by Turkish an aerial bombardment today afternoon.
The neighborhood of Fırat was shelled by Turkish jets at 15:45 today. The air strike was also recorded by journalists covering the genocidal attacks as part of the “No Silence” campaign in the city of Qamishlo on the other side of the border.
YPS reported earlier today that Turkish jets had bombed Mardin's Nusaybin district in the evening of May 19. YPS said Turkish forces also used chemicals that give off a strong smell and cause burns on human body.
