Old peshmergas in Qandil against Birakujî and Turkish occupation

Hundreds of old peshmergas have arrived in Qandil to express their objection against the Turkish occupation in Southern Kurdistan and Birakujî in Shengal.

Reactions are growing against the Turkish state occupation in Southern Kurdistan, where Turkish forces have dozens of bases since 1992, and a probable Birakujî (civil war in Kurdish) which was brought up with the recent statements of KRG (Kurdistan Regional Government) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani over the presence of PKK guerrillas in Shengal.

To this end, hundreds of peshmergas have left for Qandil from Sulaimani, Kirkuk, Halabja, Shehrezor, Raperin, Germiyan, Koye, Teqteq and other regions of Southern Kurdistan in the early hours of this morning.

The peshmerga group has arrived in Qandil and will make a statement to the press on this issue.
