According to information provided by DBP Bitlis provincial deputy co-chair Ercan Güzelkaya, Turkish jets bombarded the surroundings of Çobansuyu village in the evening hours today.

Village resident Radife Erdemir who was working in her orchard, around 500 meters to the village, during the bombardment has lost her life as a result of the airstrike.

On the other hand, another villager by the name of Abdulbaki Bizans got wounded during the bombardment. His relatives rushed the man to Tatvan State Hospital where he has been taken under treatment. Bizans is reported to have critical injuries and he is reportedly in a life-threatening condition.

Body of the slain woman was also taken to the morgue of the same hospital.
