The Press Office of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information about the ongoing attacks by the Turkish army and actions by the guerrillas in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The HPG statement on Saturday said:
"Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region;
On 10 April at 12:30, 1 surveillance camera system belonging to the invaders in Girê FM Resistance Area was shot and destroyed by the guerrillas.
On 10 April at 17:00, guerrilla snipers targeted the occupiers in Girê FM Resistance Area who attempted to install a surveillance camera system. One soldier was shot dead.
On 10, 11 and 12 April, Turkish fighter jets carried out a total of 15 attacks in various parts of the Medya Defense Zones. These included 4 strikes on the area of Deşta Kafya in Garê region, 2 strikes on the areas of Serê Metîna and Bêşîlî in Metîna region, 5 strikes on the areas of Girê Cûdî, Girê Bahar in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region, and 4 strikes on the areas of Lolan, Kolît, Girê Şehîd Şerîf in Xakurkê region."
