The operation has been launched with the support of international coalition aircraft and is reportedly focused on the villages of Kudîle, Mehane and Sultan Ebdulah under ISIS control to the southeast of Makmur.

According to officials, the village of Mehane has been liberated from gang groups within the scope of the operation. While clashes are ongoing in Kudîle village, gang groups have reportedly fled the villages of Kermirdê and Xetab in the wake of clashes.
