People in Martyr Rûstem Cûdî Refugee Camp (Maxmur), protested the Turkish state's attack on Shengal. The attack was carried out by armed drones on Wednesday, killing two civilians and injuring six others.
Residents read a statement in front of the Martyr Families Committee. Co-mayor Fatma Bilen read the statement.
Pointing out that civilians were targeted in the attacks on Shengal, Fatma Bilen said: "The people of Maxmur condemn this attack. The people of Shengal have not and will not bow down to the attacks against them for years. The governments of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are responsible for the attacks on Shengal. We invite all our people to take to the streets against the attacks. We stand by the people of Shengal and share their pain."
