Hundreds of people led by the DBP, DTK, KJA and HDP swarmed to their municipality in order to protest the detainment of Amed Co-Mayors Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı, and the defunctionalization of and the siege on their municipality. The crowd of protestors gets larger every minute and the police has surrounded the protestors.

Despite all obstacles and the threats of the police, the protestors chant the slogans of “We will win through resistance”, “Free press cannot be silenced”, “Municipalities belong to the people and will remain so”, “Pressures will not discourage us.”

The protestors are waiting for the arrivals of HDP Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş, DBP Co-Presidents Kamuran Yüksek and Sebahat Tuncel and DTK Co-President Leyla Güven at the site of the protest.
