Kurdistan Democratic People's Initiative has called upon the Kurdish people and democratic public opinion of Turkey to turn all western cities into an area of resistance in response to the ongoing state terror in North Kurdistan territory.

Releasing a statement about the state terror and popular resistance in the Kurdish region, Kurdistan Democratic People's Initiative stated that it is blindness to expect peace and negotiation from the AKP government that sponsors ISIS.

'WE'RE GOING THROUGH A PROCESS OF SELF-DETERMINATION'

Remarking that Kurds are going through a process of self-determination, the People's Initiative said; "The fascist AKP government has started an all-out onslaught within the scope of its plan to massacre Kurdistan people and oppress all democratic circles in Turkey. Ongoing isolation of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan), arrests of journalists, murder of Tahir Elçi, execution of youths, bombing of mosques and systematic massacre of the Kurdish people are all a result of this genocidal policy. Yet, everyone should know very well that Kurdistan will be a graveyard for fascism thanks to the resistance led by Kurdish youths and women."

'AKP'S CONTRA GANGS BURNING DOWN CITIES'

Stressing that the state terror of 90's is being implemented in a different form by the AKP government today, Kurdistan Democratic People's Initiative said the AKP's contra gang groups are burning down the cities of Kurdistan to make its people surrender and leave their lands.

The statement highlighted that; “The Kurdish people should bring the life to a standstill and enhance the struggle in all the Kurdish cities where self-rule is defended against the AKP's fascist policies. Noise-making protests should be replaced by uninterrupted demonstrations everywhere. The people of Amed should rise up all together and reclaim their history and future. The people of Kurdistan should unite around the resistance in Sur and Kerboran (Dargeçit).”

'TRENCHES ARE A CASTLE OF RESISTANCE'

People's Initiative called attention to the AKP's efforts to manipulate the resistance of trenches, and added; "The public opinion should know that Erdoğan points the trenches of Kurdish youths as a target while he himself has trenches of thousands of kms dug between Rojava and North Kurdistan. The fascist AKP state wants to create a perception that its trenches are rightful but the trenches of people constitute a crime. Intellectuals, academics and politicians should raise their voices against the trenches dug by the AKP to divide a folk. Every trench dug by Kurdish youths against fascism and massacre is a castle of resistance. We call upon all the Kurdistan youth to flock to the areas of this resistance and reclaim their freedom and folk."

'ALL CITIES SHOULD BE TURNED INTO AN AREA OF RESISTANCE'

Kurdistan Democratic People's Initiative voiced the following call to the Kurdistan people and pro-peace society of Turkey; “We call upon the democratic public opinion to show awareness towards the AKP government's genocidal policies in Kurdistan and to turn all western cities into an area of resistance. We call upon all the Kurdistan people living in big cities, especially youths and women, to bring the life to a standstill and enhance the resistance with protests. We also call upon the pro-peace society of Turkey to stand by their brothers and sisters in Kurdistan.”
