Peshmerga Commander: We have started to withdraw from Bashiqa

Peshmerga forces have started their withdrawal from Bashiqa after they withdrew from Kirkuk, Tuz Khurmatu, Taza Khurmatu, Jalawla, Khanaqin, Shengal, Germian, Giwara and Makhmur.
Şefîq Çavşîn spoke to Roj News on the matter and stated that the Hashd al-Shaabi was headed to Bashiqa with a large force and that the Peshmergas have started to withdraw from Bashiqa.
Peshmerga Commander Şefîq Çavşîn said, “KDP forces have now withdrawn along with all their heavy weapons. Right now, there are very few peshmergas left in the area. They will also be withdrawing soon.”
The KDP administration had also helped settle Turkish soldiers in an area near Bashiqa and Mosul last year.
